Job Description:
Provide instruction to students enrolled in Pre-Nursing program in areas of medical terminology, anatomy, certified nursing assistant (CNA), and advanced level topics.

Job Requirements:

  • Have the ability to obtain the Workplace Specialist I teaching license. Information can be found at www.in.gov/doe/educators/educator-licensing/workplace-specialist/

  • Meet credentialing standards of post-secondary partner to be able to offer dual credit

  • Be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse and in good standing in the State of Indiana

  • Possess or have the ability to obtain the Certified Nurses Assistant Instructors license as soon as possible after employed

  • Serve as Program Director for Pre-Nursing (CNA) program

  • Continue fostering relationships with long-term care facilities and other healthcare providers for training and work-based learning opportunities

  • Effectively implement instruction and assessments as assigned. This includes following the curriculum guide and teaching standards as outlined by the Indiana Department of Health, the Indiana Department of Education and the post-secondary provider

  • Effectively monitor all student learning. This would include, but is not limited to, observing and recording all student data related to classroom activities, providing intervention as indicated by the data and observation, communication with stakeholders regarding student learning

  • Maintain all student records as required by Crawfordsville Community School Corporation and Indiana Department of Health

  • Effectively implement other duties as assigned by the administration

Certification Requirements or Job Qualifications:

  • Valid Indiana Teaching License, or ability to obtain Workplace Specialist I License

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Licensed Registered Nurse with two years of experience, including one year in long-term care

Job Description:
Teach students enrolled in the program about all areas of the Construction Trades industry, specifically those related to carpentry, according to the standards set by the Indiana Department of Education and our post-secondary partner (Vincennes University).

Job Requirements:
  • Have the ability to obtain the Workplace Specialist I teaching license. Information can be found at www.in.gov/doe/educators/educator-licensing/workplace-specialist/
  • Meet credentialing standards of post-secondary partner to be able to offer dual credit
  • Foster partnerships with relevant stakeholders to allow opportunities for students to explore career areas and create a robust program
  • Create work-based learning opportunities both in the classroom and on a job site
  • Effectively communicate with all stakeholders regarding student performance
  • Monitor all student learning, including but not limited to, observing and recording all student data related to classroom activities, providing intervention as indicated by the data and observation, communication with stakeholders regarding student learning
  • Maintain all student records as required by West Central IN CTE and host school corporation
  • Effectively assume the duties associated with classroom management
  • Implement other duties as assigned by the administration
Certification Requirements or Job Qualifications:
  • Valid Indiana Teaching License (Technology Education 5-12) OR ability to obtain Workplace Specialist I License with documented work experience in construction (5,000 hours minimum)
  • One of the following qualifications to meet post-secondary partner credentialing standards: Bachelor's degree in Construction Technology or similar OR Bachelor's degree in Technology Education OR Associates degree in Construction Technology with two years full-time industry experience OR Construction Technology and/or related courses within career field OR Work experience in the field (6,000 hours minimum)
